Transference plots a new direction in SIMON LLOYD's work albeit in a not unfamiliar territory. Within this exhibition the earlier computer mouse drawings have evolved from smaller metallic forms into larger more abstracted line representations. These black and white relief oil paintings reduced as sectional details from larger sketches now assume a more overtly graphic stance. The collection of paintings each heavily banded in copper, brings into play LLOYD's material memory and enquiry, building small environments for each painting.
